Despite being a model that was launched way back in 1966, it is still drawing the attention from car enthusiasts 54 years later. This vehicle is an absolute charmer, whether you’re enjoying a lazy Sunday cruise or ripping down the highway highway at breakneck speeds. The Dodge Charger, being the American Icon that it is, is one of the few cars in the US that has undergone very few redesigns since launch.

Charger Trims

The 2020 Dodge Charger is offered in six trims:

  • R/T
  • Scat pack

  • SRT Hellcat widebody

Exterior

The Dodge Charger has always defined the quintessential American muscle car, and the 2020 version is no different. It still retains the familiar muscle car shape with the following modern additions:

  • Dual air extractor — Ensures that heat is constantly removed from the engine
  • Hood scoop — Helps to generate excellent air flow at higher speeds
  • Exclusive deck lid badges, performance grille, and fender — Help to give this car its exclusive look. The front grille differs for each trim.
  • Sporty spoiler — Helps regulate air flow in style
  • Side-mounted Hemi fender badge — Best indicator of a strong sports car

Engine & Performance

Different engines are available with different trims. Below is a breakdown of the engine options provided at each trim level.

  • SXT and GT — 3.6-liter V6 engine with 292-horsepower and 264 pounds-per-foot of torque

Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) is standard, although All Wheel Drive (AWD) is optional

  • R/T — 5.7-liter V8 engine with 370-horsepower
  • Scat Pack — 6.4-liter V8 engine with 485-horsepower and 475 pounds-per-foot of torque
  • SRT Widebody — 6.2-liter V8 engine with 707-horsepower 650 pounds-per-foot of torque

All models of the Charger are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and come with performance suspension upgrades. The Hellcat gets race-inspired technologies such as Race Cooldown, Line Lock, Launch Control, and Launch Assist.

Interior

The 2020 Dodge Charger boasts electric power steering in all models. The tilt and telescoping steering column can be adjusted by pushing a button. Three steering modes, Street, Sport, and Track are available on the Scat Pack and SRT Hellcat widebody. Additionally, drivers also enjoy a leather wrapped and heated steering wheel.

Additional interior features include:

  • Great elbow and shoulder room for three passengers in the backseat
  • Seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility
  • Remote vehicle start system that starts the engine and  activates climate control settings
