Ten Mopar Protection FAQs

1. What is Mopar Vehicle Protection? 

Mopar is the name for the only factory-backed extended service warranty which gives cars lifetime coverage with unlimited miles. It has been made available by FCA Canada.

2. What vehicles are covered under Mopar? 

All Fiat, Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep vehicles are eligible for Mopar protection, but this does not include all makes of vehicles. If you want to choose another vehicle make, get in touch with your authorized dealer to learn your eligibility.

3. Are tires covered under Mopar warranty? 

Mopar comes with Road Hazard, Tire, and Wheel Protection in the plan, which includes complete replacement cost or full repair for all four tires. These could either be factory-fitted or purchased from the aftermarket. This holds up to a limit of $7,500 for the life of the wheels.

4. What documents do I get upon the Purchase of Mopar Vehicle Protection? 

You will receive a personalized Terms and Conditions in your email. The Terms and Conditions will give you a complete insight on the coverage, benefits and overall terms of your plan. In case this doesn’t reach you, please get in touch with 1-800-465-2001 to receive another copy.

5. What is the procedure for vehicle service under Mopar? 

Get in touch with the authorized dealer where you got your Mopar coverage. In case this seems difficult, you may get your vehicle serviced at any of the Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge or Fiat service centers in the USA, Canada, or Mexico. The ‘Find a Dealer’ feature on any of these websites will help you locate a suitable dealer.

6. Is it possible to get repairs at an independent facility? 

In exceptional conditions, FCA Canada may allow you to get your vehicle repaired at certain independent facilities. If you need further assistance, be sure to call on the FCA Canada customer care number.

7. Can the cost of the Mopar Protection be added to my loan payment? 

Yes, it is certainly possible, but it needs to be done when you purchase or lease your vehicle, after approval from your loan or lease provider. If Mopar Protection is purchased after leasing or buying the vehicle, it will not be possible to add it. 

8. What are my responsibilities as a customer defined by Mopar Vehicle Protection? 

  • The maintenance and operation of your vehicles covered by Mopar will be similar to vehicles under warranty 
  • Always read more about maintenance in the Owner’s Manual 
  • Ensure that you carefully store all receipts related to your vehicle’s maintenance. With these, you will be able to verify if the designated maintenance schedule was followed or not.

9. Is it possible to transfer my Mopar Vehicle Protection? 

Yes, this can indeed be done, but you need to contact your authorized dealer to get the transfer done. Remaining coverage gets transferred to the new user within 30 days of vehicle sale, though this is not true in all cases. Your Terms and Conditions materials will have all the rules regarding transfers there.

10. What is the method to cancel this policy?

If a cancellation is requested within 60 days of the date of the contract, you will be eligible for a full refund, and repairs or services during that period, if any, will be deducted. Cancellation has to be requested through the retailer registered with FCA Canada Inc.
