The 2020 RAM 1500 is among the most versatile and high functioning lineups out there. The 2020 revamped version of RAM 1500 has a lot to offer. Whether it is comfort, style, or performance, the vehicle has made notable improvements. In this blog, we will be discussing what new people can expect from the 2020 RAM 1500 model.
Exterior
The Ram 1500 offers two cab styles complimented with branded Quad Cab as standard in its majority trims. However, Laramie Longhorn, Limited, and Rebel are only extended in crew cab four-door guise. In the crew cab setting, people have the option of choosing either a 6-ft 4-in or 5-ft 7-in bed. All the trims come with their own distinctive style.
The Rebel is the only one that comes with a handlebar black mustache-look grille. In lesser models, the wheel comes around 18-inches, whereas the higher trims come with a 20-inch wheel. Lower trims feature quad halogen headlamps accompanied by LED bi-function projector headlights and LED reflector clusters.
Interior
The lower trims continue to be rugged as well as utilitarian. However, you will begin to see the difference in the interior as the line-up goes higher. The more premium trims feature plush upholstery, powerful technology, and comfortable seats. On the whole, the layout of this lineup is rugged, but there are more options to customize.
You can expect to get more luxurious interior options like wood trim, a panoramic sunroof, and ventilated and heated leather seats. As for the space in the RAM 1500 lineup, the lineup offers adequate passenger space. The lower trim version of this model comes with a front bench seat, accommodating up to six passengers. However, higher trim models have included a center console in place of the bench seat, which has reduced the seat numbers to five.
Infotainment
The RAM 1500 infotainment is accompanied by a standard 5-inch touch screen radio and six speakers. Bluetooth connectivity is available on all models. However, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and Navigation only support larger screens. Mid-trim levels come with an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen with a powerful 10-speaker sound system. Higher trims come with a 12-inch touchscreen. The 10-speaker sound system is also standard to higher and limited trims.
Engine
The 2020 RAM 1500 offers four powertrain options with all models equipping a base engine of 3.6 liters Pentastar V6 accompanied by eTorque mild-hybrid technology. The base motor generates 305 horsepower as well as torque of 269 lb-ft.
However, the main highlight is the 9kW electric motor that offers an additional torque of 90 lb-ft. Apart from the High Fuel Economy, all trims get the option of adding an additional engine. Once powered by V8 5.7 liter HEMI, the new model is backed by EcoDiesel. While it does not offer the same aggressive start like V8, the EcoDieseal offers a smooth and effortless power.
On the whole, RAM 1500 is loaded with impressive features and specifications that make it such a popular choice in the market. The lineup also comes with high safety ratings and features that make the overall driving experience of the users more enhanced.
